10 Ways To Help Your Mental Health

 

1. **_____________________________ _______________________**: Regular exercise can improve your mood and reduce feelings of anxiety and depression. 1 Timothy 4:8 “Physical training is good, but training for godliness is much better, promising benefits in this life and in the life to come.” 3 John1:2 Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.

 

2. **_____________________________ _______________________**: Eating nutritious foods can positively impact your mental health. 

i Corinthians 6:19-20 19 Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 20 you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies. Daniel 1:8, 12, 15 But Daniel resolved not to defile himself with the royal food and wine, and he asked the chief official for permission not to defile himself this way. 12 “Please test your servants for ten days: Give us nothing but vegetables to eat and water to drink. 15 At the end of the ten days they looked healthier and better nourished than any of the young men who ate the royal food.

 

 3. **_____________________________ _______________________**: Getting enough quality sleep is crucial for mental well-being. Proverbs 3:24 When you lie down, you will not be afraid; when you lie down, your sleep will be sweet. Psalm 4:8 In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety

 

4. **_____________________________ _______________________**: Practicing mindfulness and meditation can help manage stress and improve mental clarity. Psalm 1:2 but whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law day and night. Psalm 119:15 I meditate on your precepts and consider your ways.

 

5. **_____________________________ _______________________**: Building and maintaining strong relationships with friends and family can provide support during tough times.Proverbs 17:17 A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for a time of adversity. Matthew 7:12 12 So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.

 

 6. **_____________________________ _______________________**: Find ways to manage and reduce stress through relaxation techniques, hobbies, or seeking professional help.Psalm 94:19 When anxiety was great within me, your consolation brought me joy. Philippians 4:6-7  Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

 

 7. *_____________________________ _______________________**: Pursuing activities you enjoy can boost your mood and provide a sense of accomplishment. Ecclesiastes 3:1There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens: Ecclesiastes 9:10 Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might, for in the realm of the dead, where you are going, there is neither working nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom.

 

8. **_____________________________ _______________________**: Working towards achievable goals can give you a sense of purpose and motivation. 2 Chronicles 15:7 But as for you, be strong and do not give up, for your work will be rewarded.” Psalm 20:4 May he give you the desire of your heart and make all your plans succeed.

 

9. **_____________________________ _______________________________**: If needed, don't hesitate to reach out to a therapist or counselor for support. Proverbs 1:5 let the wise listen and add to their learning, and let the discerning get guidance. Proverbs 11:14 For lack of guidance a nation falls, but victory is won through many advisers.

 

10. **_____________________________ _______________________**: Be kind to yourself, practice self-care, and learn to accept yourself, flaws and all. Colossians 3:12 Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Ephesians 4:29-32  Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. 30 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. 31 Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. 32 Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.
