Helpful Hints For A Productive New Year “How To Think Big!”
1. Make sure that ______________________________is the center of your life and you are working to enhance your spiritual walk. Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.
“But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” - Matthew 6:33
2_____________________________________: Define clear, achievable, and measurable goals. Proverbs 16:3. “Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans.”
Proverbs 16:9. “In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps.”
3. _____________________________________: Prioritize tasks and optimize your schedule for efficiency. Make sure God gets some of your time and not TIk Tok, Facebook or some other social media outlet. Ephesians 5:15-16 – “Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time because the days are evil.”
Colossians 4:5 – “Walk in wisdom toward outsiders, making the best use of the time.”
4. _____________________________________: Invest in learning, skill development, and self-improvement. Become the best version of you. Be Intentional! “Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.” – 2 Corinthians 4:16
“The seed that fell among thorns stands for those who hear, but as they go on their way they are choked by life’s worries, riches, and pleasures, and they do not mature. But the seed on good soil stands for those with a noble and good heart, who hear the word, retain it, and by persevering produce a crop.” – Luke 8:14-15
5._____________________________________: Prioritize physical, mental, and emotional well-being. ICorinthians 6:19-20 Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 20 you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.
Hebrews 12:11 For the moment all discipline seems painful rather than pleasant, but later it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.
6. _______________________________________: Create a budget and savings plan for financial stability. All plans for financial success begins with tithing. Proverbs 3:9-10 “Honor the LORD from your wealth and from the first of all your produce; So your barns will be filled with plenty and your vats will overflow with new wine.”
I Timothy 5:8 “But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.”
Proverbs 30:24-25 “Four things on earth are small, yet they are extremely wise: Ants are creatures of little strength, yet they store up their food in the summer;”
7. _____________________________________: Look for ways to contribute to your community and help others. To whom much is given, much will be required (Luke 12:48)
Micah 6:8 He has shown you, O man, what is good; And what does the LORD require of you But to do justly, To love mercy, And to walk humbly with your God?
8. ______________________________________________: Cultivate meaningful connections and nurture existing relationships. Ephesians 4:32: “Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God has forgiven you.”
I Thessalonians 5:11 Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.
9. _______________________________________________. It’s time to get back involved in the ministry of church attendance. Hebrews 10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.
Psalm 122:1 I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the Lord.
10.______________________________: Regularly assess progress, celebrate achievements, and adjust plans as needed. Philippians 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.
