Healthy Hints To Handle Unhealthy Situations
1.**_________________________________________________________________**: Establish a consistent prayer routine to connect with your faith. Psalm 107:28 Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble, and he brought them out of their distress. 29 He stilled the storm to a whisper; the waves of the sea[a] were hushed. 30 They were glad when it grew calm, and he guided them to their desired haven.
Matthew 21:22 If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.”
2. **._______________________________________________________________**: **: Regularly read and reflect on the teachings of your faith's sacred texts. 2 Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
Joshua 1:8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
3. **_______________________________________________________________*: Prioritize self-care activities such as exercise, healthy eating, and sufficient rest. 2 Samuel 12:20 20 Then David arose from the earth, and washed, and anointed himself, and changed his apparel, and came into the house of the Lord, and worshipped: then he came to his own house; and when he required, they set bread before him, and he did eat.
I Corinthian 3:16-17 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? 17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.
4. **_______________________________________________________________**: Stick to a daily routine to provide structure and stability during uncertain times. Acts 17:2 Then Paul, as his custom was, went in to them, and for three Sabbaths reasoned with them from the Scriptures
Daniel 6:10 10 Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went home. And in his upper room, with his windows open toward Jerusalem, he knelt down on his knees three times that day, and prayed and gave thanks before his God, as was his custom since early days.
5. **_______________________________________________________________**: Reach out to friends and family for support, or consider joining a support group.
Acts 2:42-46 42 And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers. 43 Then fear came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were done through the apostles. 44 Now all who believed were together, and had all things in common, 45 and sold their possessions and goods, and divided them among all, as anyone had need. 46 So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart,
John 15:4-7 4 Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.
5 “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. 6 If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned. 7 If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you[a] will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.
6. **_______________________________________________________________**: Focus on the present moment to reduce anxiety about the future. Philippians 4:6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;
Matthew 6:25 “Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing?
7. *_______________________________________________________________**: Consider fasting as a way to focus your mind and spirit on your faith.
Exodus 34:28 So he was there with the Lord forty days and forty nights; he neither ate bread nor drank water. And He wrote on the tablets the words of the covenant, the Ten Commandments
Matthew 6:16-18 “Moreover, when you fast, do not be like the [a]hypocrites, with a sad countenance. For they disfigure their faces that they may appear to men to be fasting. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward. 17 But you, when you fast, anoint your head and wash your face, 18 so that you do not appear to men to be fasting, but to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you [b]openly.
8. **_______________________________________________________________**: Take walks in nature to contemplate and connect with your faith.
Micah 6:8 He has shown you, O man, what is good; And what does the Lord require of you But to do justly, To love [a]mercy, And to walk humbly with your God?
Genesis 5:24 And Enoch walked with God; and he was not, for God took him.
9. **_______________________________________________________________**: Dedicate time each day for self-reflection and introspection to strengthen your faith. Proverbs 27:19 And Enoch walked with God; and he was not, for God took him.
I Corinthians 13:12 For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known.
10. **_______________________________________________________________*: Look for silver linings, practice gratitude, and remind yourself that tough times are temporary.
Isaiah 41:10 Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’
Proverbs 17:22 A merry heart does good, like medicine, But a broken spirit dries the bones.
